Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse provides specialized care to critically ill patients who require constant monitoring and advanced medical support. They work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive optimal care.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.

Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as prescribed.

Operate and monitor life-support equipment, ventilators, and other specialized medical devices.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement critical care interventions.

Document patient care, treatments, and changes in condition accurately.

Educate patients’ families about care plans and treatment procedures.

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other nurses to plan and provide comprehensive care.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU specialization.

Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, equipment, and protocols.

Excellent clinical, assessment, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions.

Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.

Certification in Critical Care Nursing (e.g., CCRN).

Prior experience working in ICU or critical care settings.

Work Environment:
Works in a hospital ICU with critically ill patients. May require shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. High-intensity environment requiring constant vigilance and teamwork.
